Based in San Diego, California. Seriously drawing since 2010. Graduated with a B.A. in Studio arts from San Diego State University. A multifaceted artist skilled in illustration, painting, portraits, caricature, digital art and character creation. I want to make a career as a character/environment artist for many game types including: Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Disgaea, Final Fantasy, Touken Ranbu, DanganRonpa, Onmyouji, MMORPGs, RPGs, and visual novels. Other types I'd like to work on are games with character collection mechanics like Puzzle and Dragons and tcg arcade games like KanColle. I'm interested in learning more about graphic design, 3d modeling and animation. Favorite tools: pencil, ink, copic markers, chalk pastel, wacom tablet, clip studio paint and ipad. " I like to do anatomy studies when art blocked; and despite mostly drawing stylized 'anime-esque' characters, I'm actually really good at portraits." I've entered and won the Anime Expo manga lounge art contest multiple times since 2013, sold art at different conventions and was a part of the Animazing gallery exhibition in January 2020. |
Personal Passions
"I've been heavily inspired by Japanese pop culture, anime, manga, games and cartoons since very young. Secondary inspiration for art comes from my love of animals, fantasy and nature. I like to cosplay with friends and attend conventions as an attendee and an artist.
Being a foreign exchange student to Japan in middle school really left an impression on me and made me want to learn Japanese so that I could work in some type of cultural exchange profession or as a translator. For a while Japanese language was my college major, then my minor; I even studied abroad in Japan for a semester. Ultimately, art took priority and schedule conflicts made me drop Japanese, but I'm still interested in studying it.
On a non art related note, I have experience in animal care, fostering and rescuing dogs and cats, though it was mainly pitbulls and bully breeds. I really love animals and I find myself drawing and taking photos of animals a lot. "
